Arts at THE Falls
The Falls is not just another music festival. It’s so much, much more.
For many years now, The Falls has been the playground for many a fun arts-adventure, and has played host to hundreds of arts projects, performances and whacky arty deliveries, in all shapes and forms, including The Falls Arts Village, The Falls Art Camp, The Falls Fiesta and of course, the incredible Artists that over the years have shaped and developed the festivals artwork, and have managed to deliver onto paper what we’ve had in our heads (oh, the brilliance!).
We’re incredibly fortunate to have such a vibrant and exciting arts scene in Australia, and indeed closer to the festivals homes, in Melbourne and Hobart. We strongly support the fabulous artists-types of this country, and our way of showing this is to showcase as much as we can, and expose art in as many colours and forms as possible. The “Arts” element of
The Falls Music & Arts Festival is nothing new, and is a huge piece of the big Falls puzzle, and is something we at The Falls are proud of.
So go forth, find art, and enjoy!
The Falls Art Village
Returning to both Marion Bay and Lorne in twenty oh ten, comes the wild and whacky delivery from The Falls Arts Village; a beautiful and beguiling festival within a festival that begins at sunrise with Yoga sessions and a cup of chai, and re-opens its wonderland doors each afternoon and in the wee hours of the morning.
The Falls Fiesta
The Falls Fiesta is an effervescent arts extravaganza on the 31st in both states that will entail a colourful explosion of dancing, sumptuous costumes and a huge glorious parade. Designed to bring everyone together and put their best Samba foot forward!
The Falls Art Camp
This is YOUR chance to star at The Falls. In new years eve last year over 1,000 ecstatic Falls punters joined the Falls Fiesta, parading a collection of giant puppets down through the main arena. The huge puppets that were the heart of that parade were created by a team of artists and patrons during ART CAMP.
The Falls Artwork
Freelance illustrator and graphic designer, Paolo Lim began as an illustrator for children's publications in his home country of The Philippines where he is still an active member of Manila's indie music scene - playing drums, designing posters, album covers and t-shirts.
