ATTRACTIONS - MARION BAY

In typical Falls Festival style, the Tasmanian event is held on, you guessed it, a truly beautiful farm. The festival site overlooks the stunning Marion Bay and out over Maria Island. The backdrop to the stage is the ocean! And the main arena is blessed with a natural gradient that provides the perfect viewing platform for the main stage. The campgrounds are equally spectacular, surrounded by native forest and nearly every campsite has an ocean view. Did we mention that the beach is just a short stroll away so you can be sunbaking or having a dip in between your favourite acts!

Tickets entitle patrons to three or two nights free camping (depending on what ticket type you grab!) and two and a half huge days and nights of entertainment on two stages. Acts include a diverse range of top bands, DJs and comedians. Stay tuned as it all unfolds! But The Falls Festival is much more than just a line-up, with comedians, roving performers, Marion Markets, moonlight cinema, diverse foods, environment walks and beach strolls all adding the experience.

The Valley Stage is at the base of the main arena and hosts most of the bands as well as the tick of the clock celebrations. The top of the arena is ringed by a funky range of market and food stalls, with space to sit back, chill and enjoy the music. While you're in the vicinity, check out the latest gear from The Falls Festival and bands which is also available from the main arena. The Field Stage is nestled amongst trees within an easy stroll from the Main Arena. The Field Stage will feature both international and local acts including comedy and will operate until early evening.

The APRA People's Stage features performances by none other than you! Films of all types are well represented at the festival. Check out the Arts section of this website for more information on where to catch some of the latest as well as quirkiest flicks going around.

The Falls Arts Village debuted in 2005 at the Lorne event to rave reviews and has been a popular staple in Marion Bay for the past 4 years. Check out the Arts section for information.

The Marion Market is a veritable shopper's paradise for jewels, funky clothes, head cosys, shades and other such delights.

The Beach is just a stroll down the hill and you're there. Make sure you have your wrist band on at all times as security will be checking for them on your way back to the festival and please keep to the path and designated beach area so that we don't impact the surrounding environment and animals that live there.

Culinary Delights are on offer and all catering on site is diverse and should satiate most appetites. From delicious pizza's, to hearty vego plates, to hot potato's, nachos, noodles, Indian, or sample the many other tastes of the world on offer. Or if you preter those good old aussie staples; chips, dimmies and pies will also be well represented. You are welcome to bring some food yourself as long as it is not in glass and doesn't require cooking.

Beverages are available from the licensed bar, which runs from 12 noon until 2am each night. The festival is a no BYO event, but we've done a remarkable job of keeping drink prices on ice! As The Falls Festival is an all ages event in Tassie, please bring along your I.D if you wish to participate in the consumption of an alcoholic bevy or two.
